My good friend Krystal and I went to Australia at the end of July to site see and visit my boyfriend Rob whom is spending the summer there. Some of the highlights included petting koalas, kangaroos, and a baby shark, and feeding an elephant (which by the way was disgusting), going to a bar all made of ice (even the cups!), walking through Sydney's Botanical Gardens, seeing the Opera House, the Olympic Park where the 2000 games were held, staying at a hostel for the first time (it was called the Asylum..), the Koala Sanctuary, the Australia Zoo (that Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter owns), an afternoon wine tasting tour at two vineyards, the Sydney Aquarium, the beaches and swimming in the Ocean, and hiking in Noosa's National Park. It was a great experience and hopefully the first of many trips I plan on taking! Here are a few of the pictures.
Here Krystal and I are in Sydney, 2 hours after our 25 hour trip!

Krystal and I with a group from the hostel going for dinner.

Myself at Bondi Beach, it may have been a little windy. There were actually people surfing in this!

Myself at Sydney's Olympic Park, staying true to my roots!

I have been working for an Australian company for the last 6 years, and still don't undertand the Auzzie speak that sometimes creaps into corporate emails...but have heard the country is very nice....except for the deadly snakes & spiders :) Thanks for sharing. Uncle Mark
