This weekend, in spite of the warnings of unpleasant weather, we decided to go camping at one of our favorite spots, the Holiday Travel Park in Keeseville, New York. The weekend turned out to be cold, but pretty nice.

We usually take Tobe, our dog, camping, but this was the first trip for Kitty. He didn't like the car ride much, but seemed happy in the trailer, when he wasn't trying to escape that is :).
We took a walk along the beach where the ferry docks. Some members of the group (and future members of the Polar Bear Club) though it might be fun to go for a swim in the chilly water.
Others preferred to do some beachcombing.
Move over Gene Kelly, here is Jarad Kenneth Thompson singing in the rain.
We also took a walk in the woods. The wildflowers are starting to bloom.
There is an abandoned hunters shack which is a good place to stop and take a break. Mark and the kids cleaned up the shack a bit by raking leaves and picking up the garbage.
In the shack, they found a nest with some eggs inside.
A momentous event occurred while we were away, Morgan lost his first tooth! The tooth fairy even came to the trailer.
Here is a nice picture that Ariel took.
On the way home we stopped at the new Price Chopper in Champlain, NY. While I searched for bargains, Mark and the kids took a drive.
All in all, it was a pretty fun weekend and I am glad we decided to go in spite of the rain. And in the end, it didn't even rain as much as they had predicted anyhow.
