Today's wildlife in St Hubert

I took Morgan & Jarad to Parc de la Cite in St Hubert today, and before I was out of the car, Morgan spotted a beaver sitting on some mud at the side of the lake. We watched him for a long time, but he didn't like the attention, and eventually walked from the lake to the marsh, and swam off into the trees.

We also saw some herons...

Then we spent some time catching frogs, minnows, crayfish, and a turtle. While was Morgan was putting the frogs into our pond, unfortunately the turtle walked off, and disappeared into a neighbour's yard. We also had a surprise to see that one of the turtles in our pond laid an egg in the dirt near our fence. We put some sand over it, so I can remember the spot and not step on it.
