Back at home

I'm back....with some new attachments. I took them out so you can see, but usually everything is hidden in the black bag. Mark

I'm OUT of the hospital again (I brought some of it home)

I'm been feeling better, from a post-operative infection, for a couple days, but the docs needed to narrow down the exact bacteria it was, and they needed to grow a culture over a few days. Yesterday they knew what it was, and stopped all but one antibiotic.. I need to continue this specific antibiotic every 4 hours for the next 12 days.

Yesterday they installed a central pick line, which is basically a thin cable about a foot long that they installed inside my arm leading to my chest, and it has a screw on cap, to attach an IV. Today, they gave me a device to wear around my waist that has a day's worth of antibiotics, and a small computer that controls the flow. Tomorrow morning I go back to the hospital, for training on changing the bag of antibiotics, and the battery. I was told that in the mean time I could go home, and call the hospital in the machine's alarm goes off.

Thanks for your support.

Mark
