Butterflies Go Free

Today Jarad's pre-school class had a field trip to the Botanical Gardens to see the butterflies. Every spring they let hundreds of butterflies go in one room of the greenhouse. It is lovely to watch them all fluttering about and if you are really lucky, one might even land on you.

This trip there was a security guard hurrying people along because it was so crowded, but we managed to get a few nice pictures:

This is my favorite butterfly shot of the day. It think I just enjoy the contrast in color, but I really like this one:

Although these came out pretty good as well:

Jarad was a little overwhelmed with the crowds and the noise, so he sat in the stroller for a bit. While he was resting, a little fluttery friend came along (look on the belt):

With the exception of being a bit rushed, it was fun.

Sherri, You should scrapbook some of your pictures. They are awesome!

Thanks Penny!

I don't really scrapbook my pictures, but what I find I like doing now is buying smaller photo albums for a specific event such as a vaction or day trip. I like the albums with the slip of paper in the middle of the page where you can write the story of the picture.

So not as fancy as scrapbooking, but at least keeps special events together and the memories intact.
