Cranberry Sauce
Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar & 1 1/8 cups water in saucepan.
Stir to dissolve sugar & bring to a boil.
Add 12 oz. (3 cups) fresh cranberries & a dash of salt.
Cook cranberries in boiling syrup stirring until the skins pop.
This will take about 10 minutes.
Chill.

You can also add a little lemon for flavour.
I either put in some lemon zest or about 1 tsp of lemon juice.
I also like to do it in the slow cooker. It takes an hour and a half, but I can get tons of other stuff done while I am cooking. Made some today in fact!
