Trip to the St. Lambert Fire Station

On Wednesday this week Jarad's preschool had a field trip to the fire station.

Here is Jarad sitting in the fire truck and trying on a fireman's hat:

Here is Jarad giving the fireman a hug. I really liked the way they showed the kids all the things the fireman puts on to go to a fire. First they just have the man, they he starts to put on the various pieces of equipment. They try and explain to the kids that it is still the same man under all the equipment and not to be scared of him or run away from them if there is an actual fire.

While we were there, the firemen got a real call and had to rush out in a hurry. Here is the truck all lit up and rushing off.

I was very proud of Jarad. He was not shy at all and participated in all the things we asked him to do. My little man is growing up! I think he had a really fun time at the fire station.
