Stuff We Did at Algonquin Provincal Park

When the weather was nice and the water was warm, we just hung out at the beach. This is the small beach at Kearney Lake in our campground.

Mark spend a lot of time exploring in his dingy. He even took on passengers from time to time.

Every morning at 10:30am there was a kids program. It was always fun since they would get the kids up and involved acting out the animals they were teaching us about.

Here Morgan is a raspberry and his partner is the bear who will eat his berries:

Here Mark is a wolf trying to catch the deer (played by a park ranger):

And here Ariel and a ranger are the moose and the other kids at the deer ticks which jump on the moose and feed off of them. Morgan and Jarad both were some deer ticks:

They also had daily guided hikes. Here we are with Mike (a.k.a. Happy), the Bug guy. He took us on a little walk to catch bugs and learn about them. Morgan in particular was great on this walk and kept Mike in good supply of things to talk about.

Or we would hike on our own. By the end of the 2 weeks, Jarad could walk a 2km hike on his own. He has picked up on Morgan's interest in finding mushrooms along the way.

Instead of lunch at our site, we would try and find nice places to have our sandwiches. Here we are at the lookout.

There was no shortage of stuff to keep us busy during our visit.
